Inspect outdoor unit for impact damage, flooding, and debris in the fan blades. Check that the refrigerant lines aren’t bent or kinked. Confirm the disconnect box isn’t waterlogged. Verify the breaker hasn’t tripped.

If anything looks damaged or the unit was under water, schedule a diagnostic before restoring power. Running a flooded compressor can destroy the entire system.
